Research Centre

The department has established its own research centre in a separate place. It consists of BOSCH tool kit, Micro-drilling machine, Spot welding machine, MEMS components. The followings are the achievements of the research centre:

  • The centre has received a grant of Rs.50,000/- from IE(I) for doing the project titled, “Development of MEMS based personal factory for sustainable manufacturing system” on 01-08-2016. Project status: Completed

  • The centre has received a grant of Rs.10,000/- from M/s Shanthi Sweets, Manaparai, to design and develop an automatic Halwa making machine.  Project status: Completed

  • The centre has received a grant of Rs.7,500/- from Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology (TNSCST), Chennai for doing a project titled, “Analysis of Solar PV- panel cooling system using efficient coolant as heat exchanger”. Project status: On going

  • The centre has developed an Electrical vehicle. Project status: Completed

  • The centre has developed a Centrifugal casting furnace. Project status: Completed
